Beneficial Bank Appoints Tina Malek as Vice President, Director of Marketing Communications


Philadelphia, Pa., November 3, 2011– Beneficial Bank has announced the appointment of Tina Malek as the Bank's Vice President, Director of Marketing Communications. In this role, Malek will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing all marketing and communications support functions for Beneficial. She will lead all of the Bank's advertising, brand development, communications and strategic marketing efforts.

Malek brings more than a decade of marketing experience and expertise with her to Beneficial. Prior to joining the Bank, for nine years, she served as a Partnership Marketing Representative and Assistant Marketing Director during her tenure with the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust PREIT. At PREIT, Malek led a wide range of marketing functions for the company, including overseeing and managing relationships with adverting partners throughout 38 regional shopping malls.

She is an active participant in professional and non-profit organizations throughout Philadelphia. Malek serves the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce as the 2011 Chair of the Chamber's Young Professional Network YPN Board, which she has sat on for the past four years, and as a member of its 2011-2012 Board of Directors and 3ci program. Malek is an alumnus of LEADERSHIP Philadelphia's Core Class of 2010. She is also an active Greater Philadelphia Cares volunteer.

Malek holds an MBA from Drexel University and an undergraduate degree from St. Joseph's University. She currently resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
