Since 1939, Di Bruno Bros. has been part of the fabric of Philadelphia. In order to grow our business, stay competitive, and find new ways to serve our customers in a changing economic environment, we rely on financial partners that share our long-term vision. Much like other area businesses, we had to re-evaluate our business and capital structure during the economic instability of 2009. What we needed was an experienced bank that could look beyond our balance sheet and focus on all that we could accomplish. As a local business, we're committed to utilizing the Philadelphia ecosystem, not only for the quality of food we provide, but for the businesses that are our neighbors. That's why we called Gerry Cuddy at Beneficial Bank.

From the moment we met with Beneficial, we knew we had made the right decision. Here was a company that had a history of helping local businesses succeed.

They got to know our value, not just in terms of numbers, but to really know our core values that motivate our entire company. Like Beneficial, our history is rooted in Philadelphia and we share a passion for this great city.

Beneficial quickly became an indispensable resource by making insightful recommendations and using local connections that went beyond the scope of other banking relationships. They not only helped us finance our flagship Rittenhouse location, but as our company's infrastructure continues to grow, Beneficial has enabled us to fund the expansion of our catering business, our commissary kitchen, and our newer stores.

Beneficial has grown right alongside us, helping us meet and overcome challenges along the way. We love that they are literally right down the street, and are always at-the-ready to help. As we continue to grow, we feel lucky to have a partner that always has our best interests in mind.

Last year, we found ourselves in need of a new building and some additional equipment. We already had a great relationship with Beneficial's Insurance Services **, so we reached out for a competitive bid. Not only were they competitive in both rates and terms, but their response times were fast and professional.
