Mission Statement
Beneficial takes tremendous pride in making a difference in the lives of local residents and the neighborhoods we serve. Accordingly, below are just some of the ways Beneficial is making a difference in the community.

Beneficial Bank has a rich history of community involvement in Philadelphia and its surrounding communities including Southern New Jersey. This commitment was recently strengthened with the establishment of the Beneficial Foundation. The Beneficial Foundation is keenly interested in funding community development programs that support children and families in crisis. Additionally, the Foundation believes that the education of our youth is our future and special emphasis will be given to educational, after school and early childhood development programs.

Highlights:
The Beneficial Foundation was established in 2007, and to date the Foundation has awarded 465 grants totaling $1.6 million to non-profit community organizations throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.

Some of the organizations that have received grants from the Beneficial Foundation include:

  • Sisters of Saint Joseph Welcome Center (Kensington)

  • Children’s Scholarship Fund
  • Northern Home for Children
  • Urban Promise
  • Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey
  • Guadalupe Family Services, Camden New Jersey
